Posted by ApplicationI am Italian (75%). My family traditions included sauce on Sundays at midday, large gatherings for special occasions such as communions, confirmations, weddings, funerals and holidays. I grew up in a neighborhood with friends that were, for the most part, Italian, and with families quite similar to mine. Mostly, as a child and young adult I took my heritage for granted.

Posted by ApplicationWe traveled this Thanksgiving to my visit my sweetheart’s family and to attend the wedding of his cousin’s son. Thanksgiving Day was relaxed and filled with warmth. My sweetheart’s family shared stories of his youth and the family military travels around the world. As with most families, they had stories of good times and some travails, recalled with good humor and a nostalgic glow.
