million business plan to double the number of youth served by HW-SC in
Rochester, Syracuse and beyond. Other foundations, businesses and

these cities and contributed an additional $611,000 to support HW-SC.

Danny and Stency Wegman helped
realize the vision for over 160 youth in Rochester by hosting the most
successful Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection gala yet, raising over
$202,000 that, when matched on a 2-to-1 basis with New York State
funding through Monroe County, ensures these youth get the services they
need to stay in school and graduate with skills that will prepare them
for post-secondary education and work.

Donors often find a
particular story compelling- they respond to the need children have to
express themselves through artistic pursuits, or demonstrate their abilities
and build confidence through athletic activities, or to rewrite their own

make grants totaling almost $335,000 to support specific projects and
programs throughout Hillside.

1390 donors of items
