The AdaptaCare™ Cottage is designed to provide maximum flexibility for future facility use. Based on the actual usage of the 10-bed AdaptaCare™ Cottage, several changes have been incorporated into future cottages:

• Additional acoustics have been added in the hallways and living areas to reduce the noise levels.

• Higher efficiency windows have been added for maximum energy conservation.

• Non-flammable pin boards in the bedrooms are now an option based on specific program requirements.

The six-bed cottage still features all of the original AdaptaCare™ Cottage benefits:

Positive therapeutic environment:

Incorporates areas for group therapeutic activities, family visits, private space, and staff functions. Staff has clear lines of sight throughout the building.

Enhanced safety:

Designed to resist tampering and minimize risk of injury or suicide.

Maximum flexibility:

Meets the most stringent requirements of New York State OCFS, OMH, and OMRDD. Designs accommodates from six to ten beds. Exterior can be modified to blend into any environment.

Maximum client, family, and staff comfort:

Meets the most stringent requirements of New York State OFCS, OMH, and OMRDD. Designs accommodates from six to ten beds. Exterior can be modified to blend into any environment.
