Hillside Children’s Center names Cathy to Cross Systems Solutions post
As trainer/consultant, Cathy will work to increase understanding of, and access to services
Rochester,
NY-April 3, 2007-
Hillside Children’s Center, an affiliate of
Hillside Family of Agencies, has named Jennifer Cathy to the position of
trainer/consultant in its
Cross Systems Solutions service.
As a trainer/consultant, Cathy will play an essential role in fostering internal and external customer understanding and access to services throughout Hillside’s system of care, as well as throughout the larger community.
“It's a unique opportunity to help children and families overcome barriers to services, so that children can access the support they need to stay in their homes and communities” said Cathy.
The Cross Systems Solutions service is designed to screen, evaluate, and develop a treatment package that will allow a child to remain at home or will provide for the placement of the child in the least restrictive environment closest to the child’s home.
As the Cross Systems Solutions trainer/consultant, Cathy will also be closely aligned with Hillside Family of Agencies’ Integration department.
“Jennifer will act as a navigator for Integration and others as we attempt to break down the barriers that prevent families and funders from receiving the optimal services they need and deserve,” said David Autovino, Hillside Family of Agencies Integration leader.
Cathy comes to the position after most recently serving as Hillside Family of Agencies’ manager of service development. She has also held positions ranging from assistant clinical preventive services mentor to the manager of Monroe County Office of Mental Health’s Children’s Single Point of Access (SPOA).
Cathy earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Spanish from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in 1994. From there, she earned a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in child welfare from the Arizona State University in 1997.
