Hillside Family of Agencies names new standards manager and privacy officer

Ginger Rinas has been appointed Hillside Family of Agencies (HFA) new standards manager and privacy officer.

As Standards Manager and Privacy Officer, Rinas will provide HFA staff members information and support in the area of compliance with accreditation standards or other requirements by funders or regulatory organizations.

Prior to her appointment, Rinas served for five years as a standards specialist in HFA's Standards Department, where she obtained her Six Sigma Green Belt.

"Ginger was a significant contributor to Hillside's successful accreditation through the Council On Accreditation. She facilitated the Quality Award winning team responsible for Hillside's new Life Skills Assessment, and was the project manager for the revision of Hillside's HR orientation material and the Day Treatment intake processes," says Dawn Rice, Hillside Family of Agencies' chief standards officer.

Rinas is a graduate of Alfred State College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Smith is new Standards Department Administrative Assistant

Hillside's Standards Department has appointed Cynthia Smith to the position of administrative assistant.

In this position, Smith will provide support to the department and will be responsible for a wide variety of assignments including: database management; manuals; special projects; monitoring compliance with regulations/standards; and accreditation processes.

Smith previously served as an information specialist in Hillside's Human Resources Department.

"Cynthia brings 10-plus years of dedicated experience with HFA to this position, as well as a great customer service reputation. We are delighted to have her as a member of the Standards Team," says Rice.

Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from SUNY Geneseo.
