Space Still Available in Family Resource Centers of Crestwood Children's Center Extended Pre-K Program this summer
Parents of children who have completed a school year of Pre-Kindergarten classes and are looking to build on that early childhood educational experience still have an opportunity to enroll their children in Family Resource Centers (FRC) of Crestwood Children’s Center’s continuation of the Pre-K program being offered this summer at their two Rochester locations.
“It is our hope that this extension will help children to retain what they have learned and to continue to learn, so they enter kindergarten with the skills necessary for a successful school experience,” says Mary Jo Brach, Family Resource Centers of Crestwood Children’s Center service director.
The daily classes are free for eligible children and last for a six week period until August 18. Spaces are still available in the two classes scheduled from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. each day at the Southwest FRC on 89 Genesee Street. Another class with openings is available from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Peter Castle FRC on 555 Avenue D.
The extension of this program is made possible through a recently awarded grant from the Feinbloom Foundation. For more information or to enroll a child, please call (585) 436-0370, ext. 310. To schedule a tour of either center, please call (585) 339-3214 for Peter Castle FRC or (585) 436-0370, ext. 301 for Southwest FRC.
