Hillside Family of Agencies and
New Life Homes-Snell Farm, Inc.
sign affiliation agreement

The Boards of Governors of Hillside Family of Agencies and New Life Homes-Snell Farm, Inc. (Snell Farm) signed an affiliation agreement on Monday, May 24, 2004. The signing comes after a six-month due diligence process conducted by Snell Farm and Hillside Family of Agencies Board of Governors and management to determine affiliation feasibility.

Upon final affiliation, Snell Farm will join Crestwood Children’s Center, Crestwood Children’s Foundation, Hillside Children’s Center, Hillside Children’s Foundation, and Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, as an affiliate of Hillside Family of Agencies. Final affiliation is conditioned upon receipt of all required government approvals and is expected to be consummated prior to November 2004.

“We are most confident of the benefits to be realized from this affiliation,” says Dennis M. Richardson. “Snell Farm will be a great asset to Hillside Family of Agencies in strengthening its system of care.”

“Hillside Family of Agencies has exemplified a high level of program expertise,” says William G. Madigan, Esq., Board Chair, Snell Farm. “This affiliation establishes a gateway for Snell Farms into a system of care with strong co-affiliate resources and increased opportunities for aftercare services for adolescent boys.”

Upon the signing of the affiliation, Hillside Family of Agencies and Snell Farm management and boards have begun the process to select an executive director for Snell Farm. Karen Sylvester, Hillside Children’s Center Western Region Service Leader, who became interim executive director in April, will continue in the position until appointment of the new executive director.

Snell Farm is a provider of services for adolescent boys with low to moderate risk of sexual abuse challenges located on a rural residential campus eight miles north of Bath, New York.

Hillside Family of Agencies is a family and children services organization providing child welfare, mental health, youth development, developmental disabilities, juvenile justice, and special education services across Central and Western New York.
