Hillside Family of Agencies established Homers for Hillside in 2001. This partnership now includes the Syracuse Chiefs. Funds are raised through financial pledges made for every home run scored during the baseball season. 

Homers for Hillside also provides children and families served by Hillside Family of Agencies with opportunities to meet baseball players through team-hosted clinics, attend "Hillside Days" at the ballparks, and receive free tickets to Chiefs, Doubledays, and Muckdogs  games.
