My name is Brittany and I'm a 17 year old girl who lives
with my grandparents in the Canandaigua area. all my life I have never
really been able to help other kids when it comes to Christmas and other
holidays, mostly because my family and I have been one of those families
needing the help. From the time I was 14 till 16 I lived with my mom in
North Carolina, just the two of us. A lot of times she couldn't get me what
I wanted for Christmas but she tried. Each year my name would be put in a
list with other kids and people would go out and buy for us, We would never
know who it was, I was thankful for it. it made my Christmas a lot better
and made things easier on my mother. This year I want to be one of those
nice people who goes shopping for a kid in need. I know what its like, to
wonder if you will have anything under the tree, or even have a real
Christmas dinner. I hope my story will get you to think about going out and
buying just one gift even for one child. I know for a fact ! It will put a
great smile on their face knowing someone out there cares.
Hello, I'm really writing
this because I don't think I'm going to have much of a Christmas this year.
I have a 7 year old son and recently we just lost the most important person
in our lives. I lost my husband and my son lost his dad. This is our first
Christmas without him. I wish he was still here with us because it's been
very hard without him. He past away in March we love him and miss him so
much.
