Dan Roach
Dan came to Hillside Family of Agencies in 1999 and is the webmaster for the internal and external websites.
Jerry Callan
Jerry is the Manager of the Learning Institute. He has a bachelors degree from Canisius College, and masters degrees in Social Work (University at Buffalo, 1977) and Public Administration (SUNY Brockport, 1991). He also has a Graduate Certificate in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Jerry began working in the field of children and family services in 1973 and had been a houseparent, social worker, community service supervisor and training director before joining Hillside in 1986. Since being at Hillside, he has held positions in Group Homes, Intake, Volunteer Office, Residential Treatment Center and Service Integration.
Jerry has taught several courses at the Community College in the Human Services Department. He is a certified trainer in Individualized Care, NCBI (diversity), CAFAS, and CANS. Jerry has been part of the Learning Institute since 1996, where he appreciates the opportunity to work with a dedicated, experienced and talented team.
Besides his work at Hillside, Jerry is a volunteer at Sunset House which is a hospice in Irondequoit. Jerry and his wife, Ruth, have two grown children.
Barbara Conradt
Barbara Conradt, President of Crestwood Children’s Center.
Barbara is a social worker by training with 30 years experience in children’s services.
Barbara began her professional career at Strong Memorial Hospital as a pediatric social worker.
She joined Hillside Children’s Center in 1979 and held various positions within that agency. Most recently she was responsible for overseeing the services Hillside Children’s Center offers in Monroe County and served as the Leader of the Chief Operating Team.
In February 2003 Barbara became President of Crestwood Children’s Center.

Karen Zandi
Karen’s educational background includes a BSW from the University of Pittsburgh and an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. She has CSW-R credentials.
Karen began her employment with HCC in 1986 in a direct service position in the Preventive/JJS program and moved to the Director of Emergency Services. She is now the Integration Leader.
Dennis M. Richard
Dennis M. Richardson is the president and CEO of Hillside Family of Agencies, a family and children services organization headquartered in Rochester, New York, which is comprised of the affiliates Crestwood Children’s Center, Crestwood Children’s Foundation, Hillside Children’s Center, Hillside Children’s Foundation, Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, and Snell Farm Children’s Center. Assuming the position in 1994, Mr. Richardson has overseen the growth of the organization into a leading provider of an integrated system of human services, with a staff of over 1,800 serving more than 7,100 families annually across 24 New York State counties.
Prior to coming to Hillside, Mr. Richardson was Executive Director of the Children’s Study Home, one of western Massachusetts’ oldest and most respected family and children services agencies. He has also worked at several other agencies including St. Joseph’s Children’s Services in Brooklyn, as Associate Executive Director, and at the Catholic Guardian Society of Brooklyn and Queens, as a Program Director.
In addition, Mr. Richardson has served as an adjunct faculty member at University of Connecticut’s School of Social Work, providing instruction in “Social and Ethical Issues and Social Work Commitment.” He is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work.
Mr. Richardson currently resides in Pittsford, New York, with his wife Kathy and their three children.
Dawn Rice
Dawn Rice has been employed by Hillside for 21 years beginning in 1984 as the Director of Personnel. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Business with a Human Resources Major and with 30 credit hours toward an Masters in Business Administration, also at RIT. Responsibilities have included over the years, HR, Quality, Risk/Safety Management, Employee Health and Infection Control, Learning Institute, Compliance with Regulations and Standards, and Cultural Diversity. She is currently the Chief Standards Officer with responsibility for accreditation, compliance, and risk and safety management.
Tess Mahnken-Weatherspoon
Tess graduated from SUNY Brockport with a BSW, an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport.
Tess has been employed at Hillside for 24 years in a variety of positions. She has worked as a YFDS, Social Worker and Supervisor of Emergency Services before moving to her current position as Regional Leader.
Annette Gantt
Annette L. Gantt has been the executive director of Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection since 1997. Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection is a not-for-profit youth development organization in Rochester, New York. She joined the agency in 1993 as a youth advocate and has worked in youth-related organizations close to 15 years. As a youth advocate she identified students at the middle school level who were at-risk of dropping out of school and worked to build a holistic support network which would enable them to graduate from high school. Prior to joining HW-SC, she was staff assistant at the National Center for Education and the Economy where she provided administrative support to the Program Director who was responsible for the development and implementation of education reform initiatives within the city school district. Annette received her Bachelors of Science in Social Work from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Management from Roberts Wesleyan.
Maria Cristalli
Maria Cristalli has 15 years experience in planning and quality assurance in nonprofit social service organizations. She has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utica College. She is currently completing her Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma. Maria is Chief Strategy and Quality Officer for Hillside Family of Agencies.
Alison Clemett
Alison received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from SUNY Fredonia. Alison obtained her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport.
Alison has been employed at Hillside since 1995. Her clinical experience includes providing services to children and their families in out patient mental health, chemical dependency, and day treatment services. Administrative experience includes Clinical Director and School based Manager for Day Treatment, HillCAP Coordinator, and Operations Manager for Monroe Region. Alison also gained valuable experience in her role as Service Development Manager before moving into the position of Central Region Service Leader.
John Barr
John M. Barr is Chief Marketing Officer, Hillside Family of Agencies, a 501©3 human service agency based in Rochester, New York.
Prior to this appointment in 1997, John completed a 28-year career with Eastman Kodak Company including sales, sales training, marketing, and corporate communications executive positions.
A graduate of Thiel College, Greenville, Pennsylvania, John has served as board member a variety of Rochester-based organizations including Leadership Rochester, Highland Hospital Foundation, George Eastmen House, Hillside Children’s Center, and Rochester Hearing and Speech. Additionally, he served as Northeast Regional Fundraising Chairman for the United States Olympic Committee, and as the Event Marketing Chairman for the Association of National Advertisers. He currently is Chair, Marketing Community of Practice Advisory Committee for the Alliance for Children and Families.
John and his wife Fran have three grown children.
