Self Reflection
As I’ve grown and matured (and am still doing so), one of many pieces of wisdom gained is that life is what one makes it …Either you see the glass half full or half empty, but regardless of one’s perspective, there’s one thing for certain – only through adversity and struggle does one grow and achieve.
In order to decide what life becomes for me, I focus on how I contribute to the circumstances within my life through “self-reflection.” (I also quickly focus on all the way I am blessed and all those who are suffering and it helps to speed the whining process!)
Only until I am honest with myself can I take full responsibility and then make the necessary changes to take a positive step forward.
Self-reflection helps me in all areas of my life. In terms of my professional responsibilities, self-reflection helps me be the best employee I can be for Hillside, not only because the agency expects me to be, but especially because I feel personally responsible to be the best servant leader and role model for others.
