Hillside Children’s Center appoints OCFS psychologist

Christopher Dehon, Ph.D., Office of Children and Family Services psychologistRochester, NY-April 27, 2010- Hillside Children’s Center, an affiliate of Hillside Family of Agencies, has appointed Christopher Dehon, Ph.D. to the position of Office of Children and Family Services psychologist.

In this role, Dr. Dehon will be responsible for providing psychological services and clinical oversight to all three Office of Children and Family Services-funded programs on Hillside Children’s Center’s Monroe Avenue campus. The three services are Short-Term Residential/Diagnostic, Residential Treatment Center (RTC), and FOCUS (Critical Care).

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Dehon served Hillside Children’s Center as the psychologist for the Short Term Residential program.

Dr. Dehon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1997 from Loyola University. In 2002 he earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of New Orleans. He went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of New Orleans in 2004.

Dr. Dehon lives with his wife Kimberly and daughter Chloe in Fairport, NY.
